I want to up my game with illustrator, I really like the program, but there's lots I haven't uncovered which will really improve the quality of my artwork and give me more creative freedom.
Today I followed this
tutorial.
I learnt lots about gradients and colouring, which will increase my work flow. Also the method of doing all the linework first, is something that looks like best practice and I'll continue with that. Blend modes is another thing I have always neglected in photoshop, and I'd never touched them in Illustrator. I never really understood what they do, but just used trial and error, but they can be really key, and if I can do some more comparison exercises to cement my understanding that will be great.

Changing the opacities within gradients, the angles and the blend modes, was something new for me. |
