"A short storyboard 10-20 frames, in which 2 characters are travelling at different speeds and set up the idea they are going to meet at one point. Think about screen direction and the different ways you can convey the different speeds of the characters and keep the compositions interesting so we don't get bored and we know where the characters are."

If this story board works it should speak for itself! A bus is zooming down the roads, as a sloth slowly crosses the road. Will he be hit by the bus? No he makes it across, and in fact, he was trying to get to the bus stop all along. I think the last frame is really cute, because initially you may have felt that its dramatic because he might get run over, but to the sloth, he's just concerned about catching the bus. So viewers may have seen it as the bus trying to catch the sloth, whereas really the sloth was trying to catch the bus.
Feedback- there were issues with the location of the sloth in the second to last image, it doesn't read well. Also my drawing of the bus interior is not very clear. After doing the second storyboard for deep, I am more focused on researching camera angles, and working on perspective, which is something I have a lot to learn about. |

Working out some camera angles and perspective. I found the 9th in sequence the hardest, so I spent a bit of time working out perspective of that. It still isn't quite right. Perhaps I could have just had it from the sloths view point and then it would be closer to the ground. |

My initial idea I was working on was a very still crocodile in the waters in a jungle, slowly getting into a position to catch a monkey swinging fast through the forrest. |
|
To show how far and fast the monkey was travelling I used birds eye views of the canopy showing progressively birds flying out of the canopy as the monkey would be passing through, because he's disturbing the peace.
After hearing other peoples feedback, I felt mine was too complicated, and went for a simpler idea, which was easier to execute. |
